University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a skilled RN to deliver patient care using the nursing process. You will perform timely medical/forensic examinations of sexual assault patients in collaboration with law enforcement or CPS, and work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care outcomes.
Requirements include an active Texas RN license, CPR, and the SANE certification. BSN is preferred; TNCC/ATCN, ENPC, and CPI coursework are expected within one year of start.
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides timely medical/forensic examination of the sexual assault/forensic patient under the collaboration of law enforcement, or Adult or Child Protective Services. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the following areas: SANE, Trauma, Emergency Department, ICU, Pediatrics, and /or Woman’s Health or other related field.
