Who Thrives Here:

You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy hands-on work, pay close attention to detail, and take pride in consistently producing quality results. You follow established processes, work safely, and understand how your work affects the teammates and production steps that follow.

Taking Care of Our Team:
  • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligibility for Qwikkit's Bonus Program.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan and paid time off.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Employee referral program.
  • Employee assistance program.
What We Do:

Qwikkit is transforming apartment cabinet renovations by making the process faster, simpler, and more cost-effective. Our team combines decades of industry experience with technology, automation, and continuous improvement to deliver high-quality products to our customers.

Our Sanding team prepares MDF cabinet components for adhesive and thermofoil application. By creating smooth, consistent surfaces, the team helps protect the appearance and quality of each finished product.

What You Will Learn:
  • How to operate orbital and square sanding equipment safely and effectively.
  • How to identify CNC router marks, scratches, dents, and uneven surfaces.
  • How to select and use the correct sanding tools, pads, and abrasives.
  • How to prepare MDF components for adhesive and thermofoil application.
  • How sanding quality affects the spray booth, vacuum press, and finished product.
  • How to follow production procedures, quality standards, and 6S practices.
  • How to track production output and communicate issues affecting quality or productivity.
What Impact You Will Make:

Your work will directly influence the appearance and quality of Qwikkit's finished products. By identifying and correcting surface imperfections before components move to the next production stage, you will help prevent rework, remakes, delays, and customer concerns.

Your attention to detail and consistency will also help maintain a steady production flow and ensure downstream teams receive parts that are properly prepared and ready for finishing.

What You Will Become:

You will develop strong skills in sanding, surface preparation, quality inspection, equipment care, and manufacturing processes. As your knowledge and experience grow, you may have opportunities to expand your production skills, learn additional equipment, and pursue other opportunities within Qwikkit.

The Exciting Things You'll Do:
  • Operate orbital and square sanders to prepare MDF cabinet components.
  • Remove CNC router marks, scratches, dents, lines, and other surface imperfections.
  • Sand edges, profiles, and detailed areas without changing the part’s dimensions or design.
  • Inspect components before and after sanding to confirm they meet quality standards.
  • Rework or identify parts that do not meet surface-quality requirements.
  • Prevent over-sanding that could affect the part’s profile or finished appearance.
  • Maintain sanders, pads, abrasives, and other assigned tools.
  • Track basic production output and report issues affecting quality or productivity.
  • Keep your workstation clean, organized, and free from dust buildup.
  • Work closely with the CNC, spray booth, and press teams to maintain production flow.
  • Follow all PPE, dust-control, equipment-safety, housekeeping, and 6S requirements.
What You Should Bring:

  • Ability to understand safety instructions and communicate effectively with teammates.
Nice-to-haves:
