Job description

Do you have the attention to detail and confidence to protect quality before products reach the customer?

At Qwikkit, our Production Cleaning & Quality Associate serves as the final trained quality checkpoint for completed unit carts leaving Assembly. You'll verify that every cart is complete, accurate, and built to standard before it moves to the next stage of production.

Who Thrives Here:

You'll thrive in this role if you notice details others may miss, make decisions with integrity, and are comfortable speaking up when work does not meet established standards. You stay organized, communicate clearly, and understand that protecting quality sometimes means holding or rejecting work under production pressure.

Taking Care of Our Team:
  • Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
  • Eligibility for Qwikkit's Shared Profit Program.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan and paid time off.
  • Company-paid life insurance.
  • Employee referral program.
  • Employee assistance program.
What We Do:

Qwikkit is transforming apartment cabinet renovations by making the process faster, simpler, and more cost-effective. Our team combines decades of industry experience with technology, automation, and continuous improvement to deliver quality products to our customers.

Our Quality team ensures completed products meet Qwikkit's requirements before they move through the final stages of production and shipping. By identifying issues early, the team helps prevent quality escapes, rework, delays, and customer concerns.

What You Will Learn:
  • How to perform final inspections using Qwikkit's quality standards.
  • How to identify door styles, component names, labels, and common product defects.
  • How to verify part counts, measurements, finishes, and overall workmanship.
  • How to use QA lists, QR codes, labels, and production-status systems.
  • How to document nonconforming products and route them through the red-zone process.
  • How to distinguish between parts requiring a remake and those eligible for a touch-up.
  • How to support root-cause reviews, complaint investigations, and corrective actions.
  • How quality decisions affect Assembly, Edgebanding, Accessories, Shipping, and the customer.
What Impact You Will Make:

Your inspections will help ensure customers receive complete, accurate, and high-quality products. By identifying missing parts, incorrect measurements, labeling errors, finish issues, and workmanship defects before products leave production, you will help prevent costly quality escapes and customer complaints.

Your documentation and communication will also help production teams resolve problems faster, keep nonconforming work moving, and identify opportunities to prevent recurring issues.

What You Will Become:

You will develop strong skills in manufacturing quality control, final inspection, defect identification, documentation, and cross-functional communication. You will also build the judgment and confidence needed to make objective quality decisions in a fast-moving production environment.

As your experience grows, you may have opportunities to cross-train in other production areas, expand your knowledge of quality systems, and pursue additional quality or manufacturing responsibilities within Qwikkit.

The Exciting Things You’ll Do:
  • Review QA lists and validate completed unit carts leaving the Assembly line.
  • Confirm that physical part counts match the QA list.
  • Inspect at least 35% of the components on each cart for compliance with Qwikkit's quality standards.
  • Verify pack numbers, cart slots, customer and project information, unit names, and part labels.
  • Measure required widths and lengths using a tape measure.
  • Scan QR codes to update cart status and route work to the correct downstream area.
  • Identify and mark defective or nonconforming parts.
  • Move nonconforming carts to the red zone and escalation issues for review.
  • Validate remade parts, required signatures, and completed red-zone work before returning carts to production.
  • Confirm that remake-versus-touch-up decisions follow established standards.
  • Support customer complaint investigations with photos, measurements, labels, and order information.
  • Communicate inspection findings, schedule status, and unresolved issues across production teams.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and end-of-day validation status.
  • Keep the inspection area clean, organized, and safe.
What You Should Bring:
Must-haves:
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
  • Ability to document part counts, measurements, and inspection findings.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Qwikkit's products and quality standards.
  • Integrity and sound judgment when making quality decisions.
  • Confidence to clearly communicate hold or reject decisions, even under production pressure.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Reliable attendance and a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple production teams.
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train in other positions.
Nice-to-haves:
  • Previous quality-control or inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with woodworking, panel processing, MDF, particle board, laminates, or finishes.
  • Familiarity with root-cause and quality tools, such as 5-Why or basic 8D methods.
