Job description

We are seeking a Sander to build high-quality cabinetry with a strong focus on detail and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Sand three product areas: molding (decorative pieces), raw sand (doors, drawer fronts, inserts), and scuff sand (paint or clear varnish between coats).
• Walk, lift, bend, squat and pull materials regularly; lift up to 25 lbs and use a two-person lift for larger items.
• Move materials from carts, place on table, sand, and move to the next cart in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with orbital, jitterbug, or palm sanders.
• Understanding of sanding grit and sandpaper selection.
• Willingness to learn wood species, cabinet parts, and finish processes.
• Positive communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Shift and Compensation

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM-11:30 AM and 12:00 PM-5:00 PM (extended hours/Fridays per production needs). Wages: $18.75 per hour. After a 60-day training period, additional pay for certification and production incentives (up to $2.00 per hour for new skills; incentives range $0.75–$3.88 per regular hour). Production incentives are also paid on overtime hours.

Physical Demands

Regular lifting up to 25 lbs. Use a two-person lift for large/heavy items. Work requires walking, lifting, bending, squatting, and pulling.

Safety

Lift properly, use tools safely, and wear eye and hearing protection.
