Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for the San Jose, CA area to identify and nurture business relationships and drive revenue for the local branch. You will visit customer sites, develop a client network, and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed quotas.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of outside sales in industrial/heavy equipment markets. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Promotions, Advertising Sales or Business Administration (preferred).
• 3–5 years of outside sales experience in industrial market or heavy equipment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily territory management and revenue growth through visits to customer sites/offices.
• Develop a networking list of potential clients and contact them by phone and online.
• Plan and organize sales strategies to meet goals and quotas.
• Rent and sell equipment to exceed quotas on a consistent basis.
• Identify customer needs and respond based on market conditions and pricing.
• Penetrate strategic accounts to diversify the customer base across industries.
• Support team members to achieve branch goals.
