Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation (AHMC) in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Litter Removal Crew Member to join an outdoor, early-shift team. Here are some facts about this position

• The work is outdoors along highways during daylight hours


• The work starts early but we also get done early; usually around 3:30pm each day


• We have been doing this type of work safely for over 30 years


• Safety equipment is provided and replaced as needed


• The work is mixed between litter removal and travel from cleaning spots


• We have a pickup spot that we meet at every morning, and we handle all transportation from there


• Typically work 30+ hours per week, Monday-Thursday


• Paid holidays after 90 days of employment

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older and able to lift 20lbs independently


• Have reliable transportation and be able to attend scheduled shifts


• Walk several miles a day and be on their feet for most of their shift


• Communicate verbally and listen to instructions from their supervisor


• Be comfortable working outdoors up to 90% of the shift with exposure to varying temperatures and weather patterns **We do not work in extreme weather conditions**


• Be comfortable working alongside the shoulder of the highway
