Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Minnetonka, MN seeks a Sample Receiving Technician to enter samples, assign test codes, and ship materials for analysis. You will ensure data accuracy in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and maintain sample integrity throughout the process.

The role requires an Associate degree with 1+ year of related experience or a Bachelor's degree, plus strong written and verbal communication, basic computer skills, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 1+ year relevant work experience or equivalent; Bachelor's degree also acceptable.
• Basic computer operation skills to enter sample data into the LIMS.
• Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry helpful for coding samples and tests.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential to clarify test instructions with clients.
• Time management and organizational skills to track samples and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log in samples for analysis, assign IDs and enter data into LIMS.
• Contact clients to clarify missing information and ensure accurate coding.
• Store samples properly and dispose of extras while maintaining integrity.
• Prepare shipments for pick up and to other labs as needed.
• Assist in developing customized client reports with data analysis.
