Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to join the Minnetonka, MN laboratory. The role involves logging samples, assigning test codes, and ensuring proper handling and timely release to operations for analysis and shipping.

Ideal candidates have an Associates degree with 1+ year of related experience or a Bachelor's degree, plus basic computer and data-entry skills. The position emphasizes accuracy, communication with clients, and adherence to quality systems.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 1+ year relevant work experience or a Bachelor's degree.
• Basic computer operation skills to enter incoming sample information into the LIMS.
• Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful for proper sample/test coding.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log in samples for analysis and prepare documentation.
• Contact clients to obtain/clarify missing information for accurate coding.
• Store samples safely and maintain sample integrity until analysis.
• Prepare shipping documentation and packages for pickup by vendors.
• Assist in development of customized client reports and data analysis as needed.
• Support laboratory personnel with sample preparation and analysis as required.
