Job summary

Merieux NutriSciences in Minnetonka, MN is seeking a Sample Receiving Technician to log in samples, assign IDs in LIMS, and prepare them for analysis. The role requires an associate degree with 1+ year experience or a bachelor’s degree.

You will contact clients for missing information, package samples for shipping, support data reporting, and help maintain quality systems. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates degree and 1+ year relevant work experience or equivalent work experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
• Basic knowledge of computer operation to enter data into LIMS.
• Knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log in samples, assign IDs and enter into LIMS.
• Contact client to obtain/clarify missing information for accurate coding.
• Store samples and maintain integrity; dispose extra samples.
• Prepare packages for shipping and maintain related documentation.
• Prepare samples for shipping to other facilities with documentation.
• Assist client service with developing customized reports: data collection, analysis, reporting.
• Assist laboratory personnel with preparation and analysis of samples.
• Support quality and continuous improvement processes.
• Identify departures from quality system and document observations.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
