United Legwear & Apparel Co. in New York is seeking a Sample Coordinator, Production to manage the flow of samples across the development lifecycle, coordinating with internal teams, licensors, and external partners.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and cross-functional communication, with responsibilities around sample archives, submissions, and approvals, and a pathway for growth within a fast-paced apparel business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in a Sample Coordinator or Production support role, preferably within legwear (socks) or apparel.
• Demonstrated ability to review and approve yarn colors and lab dips.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sample archive room, including sample bins and sample walls, ensuring organization and accuracy.
• Track and manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of SMS (Salesman Samples), TOP (Top of Production) and Photography samples to internal sales and merchandising team.
• Coordinate sample submissions for licensor review, ensuring all requirements and deadlines met.
