Job summary

Next Generation Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented IT Asset Analyst for Software Asset Management, focusing on lifecycle oversight, licensing compliance, and cost savings.

The role begins onsite for the first 3 months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite / 1 day remote). Responsibilities include maintaining asset inventories, ensuring license compliance, aiding procurement, and supporting audits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software asset management or IT asset management experience.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, contract terms, and vendor agreements.
• Proficient in SAM tools and tracking technologies.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets including licenses, versions, entitlements, and usage data.
• Ensure software usage aligns with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Assist procurement in licenses renewal and vendor negotiations for favorable terms.
• Analyze usage data to identify underutilized assets and cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and distribute reports on software utilization, compliance, and inventory.
• Coordinate audits and support internal/external licensing audits.
