Job summary

Sun Tan City, Altoona, IA is seeking a Salon Director in Training to lead the team, drive store performance, and deliver exceptional client experiences. The role supervises Tanning Consultants, coaches staff, and helps achieve productivity and revenue goals in a fast-paced salon environment.

You will foster a client-centric culture, maintain a clean, professional salon, and model leadership through daily operations.

Qualifications

• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leaderships skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience and meeting personal sales expectations.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top line revenue and expenses.
• Maintain proper staffing levels to ensure productivity and service while controlling labor costs.
• Work nights and weekends.
• Work a 5-day workweek with approximately 35 to 45 hours per week.
