Job summary

Sun Tan City in Cedar Falls, IA seeks a Salon Director in Training to drive store performance, elevate client service, and lead a team of Tanning Consultants to meet productivity goals.

You'll coach and mentor staff, manage daily salon operations in a fast-paced environment, and help maintain a clean, client-centric experience while achieving sales targets and controlling labor costs. This role offers opportunities for advancement and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Management and/or Sales experience required.
• Beauty Industry and/or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple situations.
• Knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
• Problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor.
• Team building skills.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead by example in client-centric experience and meeting personal sales targets.
• Maintain a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
• Establish clear goals for Team Members.
• Provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members’ daily performance.
• Generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with Salon Director functions.
• Assist the Salon Director in controlling top-line revenue and expenses.
• Help maintain proper staffing levels for productivity and customer service while controlling labor costs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Ability to work a 5-day workweek with approx. 35 to 45 hours per week.
