Job summary

PetSmart is seeking a Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) to deliver high-quality grooming services and support a fast-moving salon team. You will develop bathers and new stylists through the grooming development program, while ensuring outstanding pet care and customer experiences.

The role emphasizes coaching, certification pathways, and maintaining PetSmart's standards, policies, and ethics across daily salon operations, staffing, and service quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with tools, equipment and products to perform grooming safely.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to react under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather and stylist certification processes.
• Identifies candidates to attend academy training to become stylists.
• Delegates and validates completion of salon daily tasks.
• Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances.
• Maintains salon standards and ensures policy compliance; champions engagement.
