Job summary

Sun Tan City is seeking a Salon Director to lead and manage the daily operations of a busy tanning salon. You will supervise hiring, training and scheduling, ensure exceptional client experiences, and drive sales while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

A strong leader with experience in service industries will thrive in this role. You'll work a 40-hour week across a 5-day schedule, with varying shifts based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Management and/or sales experience required.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• College education preferred, but not required.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences.
• Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
• Maintains a positive example and calm demeanor during high volume periods.
• Displays a client-first attitude and holds team accountable for quality service.
• Drives company metrics by developing action plans and instructing the salon team.
• Promotes Sun Tan City culture, values, and mission.
• Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
• Directly responsible for cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of the salon.
• Manages staffing levels to ensure employee development and operational needs.
• Adheres to wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
• Uses operational tools to plan for and achieve excellence (labour guidelines, reports, cash & inventory).
• Uses financial reports to identify trends and issues in salon performance.
• Conducts performance assessments and sets sales goals.
• Manage ongoing sales.
• Salon Director works a 5-day, 40-hour workweek (minimum) and variable shifts.
