Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class Salesforce applications and deliver scalable analytics using Tableau. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Salesforce Administrators to meet evolving CRM requirements and drive business decisions.

The role requires 4+ years of Salesforce development, experience with Apex, APIs, and Tableau dashboards, plus strong communication and data presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred)
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving
• Strong communication and data presentation skills
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API
• Experience with GitHub or version control
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other apps
• 2+ years developing dashboards with Tableau
• Experience working with Salesforce data and objects
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis
• Experience with Tableau Desktop/Server/Cloud

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating requirements into customized Salesforce solutions
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce
• Assist in estimating work effort and setting schedules
• Assist with releases to implement updates to applications and code
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal services
• Test stability and functionality of the application
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs
• Maintain security and integrity of the application
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling, and refreshes
