Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design and build world-class applications on the Salesforce platform and develop data visualizations with Tableau.

The role requires 4+ years of Salesforce development, Apex, Lightning Components, and experience in dashboards. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Administrators, participate in releases, ensure security and data integrity, and support Tableau deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification preferred.
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Experience developing dashboards with Tableau.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
• Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce extending Salesforce capabilities to support our business requirements.
• With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and set a realistic schedule for development.
• Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal proprietary and third-party services.
• Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
• Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
• Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling, and refreshes
