Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world‑class Salesforce applications, develop Apex, Lightning Components, and Visualforce, and deliver scalable Tableau dashboards. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Administrators to meet evolving CRM requirements and drive key business decisions.

The role requires 4+ years of Salesforce development, experience with dashboards, and strong communication skills to work with technical and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, translating requirements into customized Salesforce solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex classes and triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce.
• Assist with estimation of work effort and project schedules.
• Deploy updates to existing applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third‑party services.
• Test stability and functionality of applications.
• Maintain security and integrity of software.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports.
