Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute seeks a Salesforce Platform Analyst to design, build, and optimize enterprise applications across Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and integrated systems. You will translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver solutions from concept through post‑production support.

The role bridges business and technology, partnering with stakeholders to meet high-priority Sales and Marketing processes, with a hybrid schedule in Columbus, OH or Crystal City, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/SE or related field and 5 years of developer experience
• 3+ years designing, customizing, implementing Salesforce solutions in enterprise environments
• Hands-on Salesforce development with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, Flow, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, data warehouse, identity management, and cloud-based solutions
• Experience with lifecycle management, CI/CD, testing, deployment automation, and governance

Responsibilities

• Configure and administer Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud including security models and MFA
• Develop proofs-of-concept to validate complex requirements
• Extend Salesforce with programmatic solutions and collaborate with developers
• Manage changes and deployments via CI/CD and release processes
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards for sales/marketing leadership
• Facilitate sessions with sales/marketing to analyze processes and opportunities
• Translate requirements into user stories and actionable tasks with clear criteria
• Evaluate options (configure vs customize vs AppExchange) and make recommendations
• Develop detailed estimates for schedule, labor, and contractor needs
• Adhere to project management methodology and maintain required documentation
• Support end-users post-deployment and participate in continuous improvement
