Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Business Analyst to join our NY Shared Services team. This role focuses on solving business problems, improving processes, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective system solutions.

You will gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and support system enhancements in a Salesforce-centric environment. The role emphasizes UAT, defect tracking, and production support to drive program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, operations analysis, or system implementation.
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements, workflows, or business processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and other business software applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, workflows, and process documentation.
• Partner with operations, technical teams, and project stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support Salesforce and other enterprise applications through requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and release readiness activities.
• Investigate system issues and support production problem resolution.
• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, and other project documentation.
• Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies.
• Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
• Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist management with decision making.
• Review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionalities, and/or proposed solutions.
• Process all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements.
