Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class applications and analytics in our CRM ecosystem. You will develop Apex, Lightning Components, and Tableau visualizations to empower business decisions across teams.

You'll collaborate with Business Analysts and Administrators, deliver scalable solutions, and support Tableau Server deployments, while upholding security and performance standards in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills.
Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
Experience working with Salesforce data and objects.
Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform.
Designing, coding, and implementing Salesforce applications.
Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce extending Salesforce capabilities to support our business requirements.
With project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort and set a realistic schedule for development.
Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal proprietary and third‑party services.
Testing the stability and functionality of the application.
Troubleshooting and fixing bugs.
Maintaining the security and integrity of the application software.
Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling and refreshes.
