Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design and build world-class Salesforce solutions, including dashboards with Tableau, to support evolving CRM needs. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Administrators to deliver scalable, high-performance integrations and analytics.

The role emphasizes development of Apex classes/triggers, Lightning Components, security best practices, and data visualization while ensuring reliable deployment and cross-team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills.
• Experience with Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into Salesforce solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Components and Visualforce.
• Estimate work effort with project leadership and set realistic schedules.
• Assist with release cycles and deploy updates to applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services.
• Test the stability and functionality of the application.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs; maintain security and integrity.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling and refreshes.
