Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class CRM solutions and Tableau analytics for our evolving data needs. You will collaborate with Business Analysts and Salesforce Administrators to implement scalable Salesforce applications and data visualizations.

The role emphasizes building Apex, Lightning Components, Visualforce, and Tableau dashboards, plus data integrations and deployment support across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification preferred.
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and data presentation skills with business and technical teams.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate them into Salesforce-based solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex classes/triggers, Lightning Components, and Visualforce.
• Assist in effort estimation and realistic scheduling with project leaders.
• Deploy updates and releases to existing applications.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services.
• Test application stability and functionality; troubleshoot bugs.
• Maintain security and integrity of the software; build Tableau dashboards and visuals.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, and refreshes.
