Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Salesforce Developer II to design world-class Salesforce applications and Tableau visualizations that support evolving CRM requirements. You will develop code-based solutions and integrate Salesforce with internal and third-party services, partnering with Business Analysts and Administrators to drive key business decisions.

The role emphasizes scalable analytics, data visualization, and secure, high-performance deployments across Tableau and Salesforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering preferred.
• Platform Developer II Certification (preferred).
• 4+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Experience developing customer-facing interfaces.
• Experience writing Apex classes and triggers.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication and data presentation skills.
• Understanding of Salesforce architecture and API.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control software.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications.
• 2+ years of experience developing dashboards using Tableau.
• Experience working with Salesforce data and objects.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and data analysis.
• Experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into customized Salesforce solutions.
• Design, code, and implement Salesforce applications.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce.
• Assist with estimation of work effort and realistic scheduling.
• Assist with releases to deploy updates to applications and code.
• Develop integrations from Salesforce to internal and third-party services.
• Test the stability and functionality of the application.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs.
• Maintain security and integrity of the application software.
• Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Support Tableau Server/Cloud deployments, publishing, scheduling, and refreshes.
