Job summary

Obama Foundation is seeking a Development Data & Systems Analyst to optimize and maintain Salesforce CRM, focusing on donor recognition, grants, and reporting. You will lead the internal data ticketing system, deliver custom reports, and ensure data quality across complex fundraising workflows in a remote-capable role based in the Chicago area.

The role requires 1–2 years of hands-on data or systems experience in a nonprofit setting, Salesforce NPSP/Nonprofit Cloud familiarity, and strong

Qualifications

Experience with Salesforce CRM in a nonprofit context.
Ability to build complex reports, dashboards, and fields.
Experience managing a data request queue or ticketing system.
Strong analytical and QA skills with attention to data hygiene.
Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising mechanics and major gifts.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the Development team’s Salesforce ticketing system and triage requests within SLAs.
Design, build, and enforce Salesforce workflows for donor recognition and gift tracking.
Develop custom tracking frameworks, reports, and dashboards for complex gifts and grants.
Conduct QA testing in Salesforce sandbox and deploy to production.
Maintain data integrity, perform data cleanups, and document configurations and standards.
Cross-train on gift processing to back up during peak fundraising cycles.
