Job summary

Tempus AI in Chicago seeks a Salesforce Business Associate to be the first line of contact for the commercial field, resolving access, hierarchy, and reporting issues inside Salesforce. You will partner with Sales Operations, Customer Support, and IT to ensure accurate data and efficient workflows.

You will diagnose problems, maintain account and territory accuracy, and coordinate new hires and role changes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years as a business analyst on commercial systems or sales operations/CRM support.
• Expert user of Salesforce: reports, dashboards, data tools; admin experience welcome but not required.
• Familiarity with account hierarchy, territory assignment, and sales alignment concepts.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating to technical/engineering teams.
• Strong written communication; able to explain constraints clearly.
• Highly organized with many open requests and moving parts.
• Healthcare, diagnostics, or precision medicine experience preferred; exposure to Looker/Okta/ServiceNow is a plus; ADM-201 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Field the commercial field's questions on accounts, contacts, territory, visibility, and reporting.
• Diagnose underlying problems rather than executing requests as written.
• Maintain accuracy across accounts, contacts, and hierarchy; manage merges and declines with clear reasons.
• Coordinate roster, territory, and access changes; work with IT for correct sequence.
• Run data loads with backup and rollback steps as documented.
• Build and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards used by the field; create self-serve guides.
• Identify recurring requests and translate into data standards, process changes, or engineering builds.
