Job summary

8am is looking for a Salesforce Administrator to own the configuration, design, and functionality of the Salesforce platform that Sales, Marketing, and Customer Operations rely on every day. You’ll have a real impact on how efficiently the whole company works and be a key voice in shaping our systems strategy as we grow.

You’re Salesforce certified, fluent in API-based integrations, and just as comfortable explaining things to non-technical teammates as working through details with engineers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on Salesforce Administrator experience.
• Salesforce Administrator certification preferred (Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• Strong business analysis skills and requirement gathering.
• Experience with API-based integrations and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and customization of our Salesforce instance and its integrations.
• Partner with stakeholders end to end: uncover the real problem, translate requirements into clear technical designs, balance priorities, and drive a successful launch.
• Serve as the subject matter expert in business process design and redesign processes to improve efficiency.
• Design, build, and maintain a scalable, well-governed org architecture with strong data model, layouts, and automation.
• Build with Flow and declarative tools first, and collaborate with developers or contribute to Apex/LWC when needed.
• Manage profiles, roles, permission sets, and sharing settings to uphold security standards.
• Deliver fast, friendly user support and monitor data quality and system health.
• Run a disciplined change management process with documentation, QA, UAT, and production approvals.
• Own release quality through test plans and user acceptance testing.
• Identify AI capabilities to improve admin productivity and user outcomes.
• Keep documentation current and build training to grow Salesforce skills across teams.
• Stay current on Salesforce releases and propose long-term improvements.
