Sales Support Specialist

Reports To: Customer Service Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented, and dependable Sales Support Specialist to join our team at Seashore Fruit & Produce, a fast‑paced and growing produce company. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service, managing orders, and resolving inquiries related to our fresh produce offerings. This role requires strong communication skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to multitask in a time‑sensitive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities CS
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
  • Process incoming orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems.
  • Coordinate with the sales team, warehouse, and logistics to ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues with professionalism and follow‑through.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product offerings, seasonal availability, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and track order status and communicate updates to customers.
  • Assist with invoicing, billing discrepancies, and credit memos when needed.
  • Provide support to the sales and operations teams as required.
  • Provide backup support for reconciliation‑related tasks specific to school business.
  • Communicate with drivers to resolve discrepancies or issues tied to school district deliveries.
  • Support the sales team by generating and distributing delivery manifests for Regional Sales Managers and drivers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sales Support
  • Develop new sales opportunities using outbound cold emails, cold calls, and lead follow‑ups.
  • Answer customers’ questions, resolve their concerns, and provide additional information via calls and emails.
  • Run daily and weekly reports to ensure items are delivered on time and orders are complete, following up with internal operations and customers as needed.
  • Maintain and improve the database of prospects.
  • Research new leads and passively marketing our company to potential customers.
  • Keep up to date with product and service information, as well as competitor offers.
  • Upsell products and services.
Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree; Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related fields preferred.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience; experience in the food, produce, or distribution industry a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and order entry systems (ERP/CRM software preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Full time in office.

Salary: $20-25 per hour
