Job description

Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate verbally and in writing with suppliers and transportation agencies.
• Select carriers, negotiate rates, and manage contracts.
• Address and resolve complaints and logistical issues.
• Keep the sales team informed about shipping carriers, routes, rates, and updates.
• Coordinate trucking, dispatch trucks, book with ocean carriers, and plan vessel schedules.
• Process high volumes of sales orders (air and sea) quickly and efficiently.
• Coordinate export documentation, transportation, and logistics.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of requested materials.
• Develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and revenue objectives to achieve targets.
• Analyze market conditions (supply and demand) to identify growth opportunities.
• Allocate products during high demand, handle sales allowances, and increase revenue.

Job Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in fresh produce or perishable food sales (e.g., large retailers, wholesalers, food service).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with sales applications.
• Knowledge of export transportation, logistics, shipping management, and vessel planning.
• Ability to handle high volumes of sales orders and manage shipments effectively.
• Strong initiative to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
