Job description

Our client, a leading multinational media and entertainment company, is looking to hire a Sales Support Specialist to join their team in New York City, New York. This is a 6-month contract, hybrid opportunity.

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will assist the Account Executives (AEs) in preparing sales orders and monitoring client accounts. You will also maintain operational efficiency of agency orders through approvals, tracking linear commercial inventory, movement requests, allocations, and ADUs (audience deficiency units) within the sales system.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Account Executives (AEs) in preparing sales orders and monitoring client accounts.
  2. Maintain operational efficiency of agency orders through approvals, tracking of linear commercial inventory, movement requests, allocations, and ADUs within the Wide Orbit sales system.
  3. Make good any commercials that did not air into future weeks in Wide Orbit.
  4. Coordinate daily with Traffic and Pricing & Inventory teams to ensure flawless execution and delivery of agency orders.
  5. Ensure client restrictions are upheld by confirming client DNA (Do Not Air) lists are followed and maintaining commercial separation.
  6. Monitor, track, and report on client impressions, collaborating with multiple departments to make adjustments ensuring full delivery and billing of orders.
  7. Generate reports to troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies.
  8. Work directly with Finance to resolve billing issues by generating paperwork and submitting discrepancies.
  9. Maintain the client database and account list.

Qualifications:

  1. Background in hospitality or a client-facing, customer service-oriented role, such as sales or marketing, with the ability to handle diverse personalities and levels of expertise.
  2. Proficiency in Excel.
  3. Willingness to learn in a flexible, fast-paced, proprietary environment.
  4. Candidates who have recently graduated from college are acceptable; relevant experience is a plus.
  5. Ability to work effectively within a diverse team of varying expertise and experience levels.
