Sales Support Representative - Work from Home

Pay $15.65 - $21.00 / hour

Job Description

Scholastic Book Fairs partners with schools nationwide to host over 100,000 book-sale events annually, providing access to educational products that foster a love of reading among over 35 million students and families.

We are seeking Sales Support Representatives to help expand the Book Fair business. These full-time, remote positions offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 50% discount on Scholastic merchandise, a 401k plan, and summer off.

Qualified candidates will collaborate with Fair Consultants on tasks supporting territory objectives, including customer communication, Salesforce documentation, and other duties assigned by the Territory Manager. This role prepares individuals for future roles as Fair Consultants.

This role is open to candidates outside Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The following pay range applies to those hired in these states: $32,500 - $45,000.

Job Responsibilities

• Market and Event Support: Schedule, reconfirm, set appointments, conduct during-fair calls, post-event calls, collection calls, and other event-related tasks.
• Manage orders, including follow-ups, additions, and restocks.
• Coordinate with branch and transportation teams regarding operational needs and customer expectations.
• Support promotion and marketing initiatives to ensure successful events.
• Utilize technology effectively to record activities, prioritize tasks, and communicate with team members.

Customer Focus

• Expand customer relationships with school personnel, district contacts, and parent organizations.
• Deliver exceptional service and address customer concerns promptly.

Teamwork

• Maintain regular communication with the Territory Team and Manager.
• Share calendar and update Salesforce notes to ensure team coordination.

Functional Expertise and Personal Effectiveness

• Support our mission to promote reading and lifelong learning.
• Adapt to shifting priorities and rapid changes effectively.
• Attend events as required and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• 2+ years sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with children’s literature and school activities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to multitask and work evening hours as needed.
• Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
