Job Description

Scholastic Book Fairs, in partnership with schools nationwide, hosts over 100,000 book-sale events annually, providing access to educational products for more than 35 million students and families, fostering a love for reading.

We are seeking Sales Support Representatives to support the growth of the Book Fair business. These full-time, remote positions offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 50% discount on Scholastic merchandise, a 401k plan, and summer off.

The role involves collaborating with Fair Consultants on tasks supporting territory objectives, including customer communication, Salesforce documentation, and other duties assigned by the Territory Manager. This position is a stepping stone towards becoming a Fair Consultant.

This role is open to candidates outside Colorado, California, New York, and Washington. The estimated pay range is $32,500 - $45,000 annually.

Job Responsibilities

• Market and Event Support: Schedule and confirm appointments, support event activities, manage orders, and coordinate with branch and transportation teams to ensure operational success.
• Customer Focus: Build relationships with schools, districts, and parent organizations, delivering excellent service and addressing concerns promptly.
• Teamwork: Communicate regularly with the team, share calendars, and follow operational procedures to ensure cohesive team performance.
• Personal Effectiveness: Support our mission, adapt to changing priorities, attend events as required, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
• 2+ years of sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of children’s literature and school activities is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and multitasking abilities.
• Availability for evening hours as needed, depending on location and time zone.
