Burnett Specialists is seeking a detail-focused, customer-oriented individual for a technical support/quotations role in Northwest Houston. You will respond to inquiries, prepare quotations from specifications, and coordinate with sales, engineering, and production to move projects forward.

Ideal for a recent graduate with mechanical/electrical aptitude; onsite schedule Mon-Fri 8:00–5:00, temp-to-hire with opportunity for long-term employment after training.

Qualifications

• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or related field.
• Recent graduates and entry-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Familiarity with ERP systems; Epicor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, quotes, orders, and delivery status by phone and email.
• Review requests, drawings, and specs to prepare accurate quotations.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and production to gather information and resolve questions.
• Assist with pricing calculations, estimates, and project documentation.
• Enter and maintain customer, quotation, and order data in systems.
• Track quotations and follow up on pending requests to move projects forward.
• Coordinate order details, delivery schedules, and updates to customers.
• Identify alternative product options meeting needs and requirements.
• Resolve customer concerns with appropriate departments.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual to join their team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone early in their career with a background or strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing-related fields. You will receive training on the company's products, systems, and processes. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:0 a.m.–5:0 p.m. Location: Northwest Houston Pay: $25–$27 per hour Employment Type: Temp-to-hire Work Arrangement: Fully onsite; remote work is not available

What You'll Do

• Respond to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, pricing, quotes, orders, and delivery status by phone and email.
• Review customer requests, technical information, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
• Work with internal sales, engineering, and production teams to gather information and resolve customer questions.
• Assist with pricing calculations, estimates, formal bids, and project-related documentation.
• Enter and maintain accurate customer, quotation, and order information in company systems.
• Track quotations and follow up on pending requests to help move projects forward.
• Coordinate order details, delivery schedules, and customer updates.
• Help identify alternative product options that meet customer needs and project requirements.
• Address customer concerns and coordinate resolutions with the appropriate departments.
• Manage multiple customer requests and projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• A technical background, education, or strong aptitude in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
• Recent graduates and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply!
• Extensive industry experience is not required.
• Strong customer service skills and a genuine desire to help customers.
• Excellent typing, data entry, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Exposure to project estimating, quoting, technical drawings, or specifications.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
