Job summary

Ppsi is seeking a proactive Business Development professional in Houston, onsite, to drive quotes, orders, and customer satisfaction, building lasting relationships. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage CRM/ERP workflows to ensure timely delivery and strong client engagement.

You will manage quotes, processing, and communication with customers while contributing to continuous improvement efforts and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 3+ years in inside sales, customer service, or related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to build relationships.
  • Basic understanding of electronics components and applications preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to industry trends and advances.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Description

Serves as the primary liaison for customer accounts, overseeing the entire process from preparing quotes and processing orders to ensuring final delivery and cultivating long-term satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Contact customers: Initiate outbound calls and respond to inbound inquiries from existing and potential customers to identify their needs, build rapport, and establish strong relationships.
  • Quote preparation: Prepare and deliver accurate and timely quotations to customers, taking into account their specific requirements, product pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Customer relationship management: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customers' businesses, needs, and preferences. Proactively follow up on quotes, orders, and inquiries to provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Order processing: Coordinate order processing activities, including order entry, documentation, tracking, and expediting, to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Feedback and reporting: Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding customer preferences, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Continuous improvement: Actively contribute to improving sales processes, customer experience, and overall sales performance by suggesting and implementing innovative ideas and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term customer relationships. Active listening and effective negotiation skills are essential.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components, products, and applications is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and support colleagues.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as ERP/MRP systems, Google Suite / Microsoft Office.
