Opti Staffing Group is partnering with a well-established company in Milwaukie, OR, to recruit a Sales Support - Heating Controls professional. This role blends technical knowledge with customer service and relationship-building in a technical sales environment.

You will provide technical sales support, assist customers in selecting products, and build lasting relationships while growing in industrial automation and process control.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales or inside sales within a technical environment.
• Background in electrical systems, automation, controls, instrumentation, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend technical solutions.
• Proficient with basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical sales support to customers seeking instrumentation and automation solutions.
• Assist customers in selecting products based on applications and requirements.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and product recommendations.
• Collaborate with customers to identify opportunities for additional products and services.
• Develop understanding of industrial process control and automation systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service and project support.

Process Control & Automation Industry

Location: Milwaukie, OR
Pay: $24.00 - $36.00/hr DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

• Experience in technical sales, industrial sales, inside sales, or customer support within a technical environment
• Background in electrical systems, automation, controls, instrumentation, or industrial manufacturing preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to understand customer needs and recommend technical solutions
• Basic computer proficiency
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Electrical or Automation Engineering background
• Experienced Electrical, Automation, or Industrial Technician looking to transition into sales
• Familiarity with industrial instrumentation, process controls, or temperature measurement applications
• Knowledge of industrial networking or automation systems is a plus
