Job summary

Friedman’s Home Improvement in Sonoma, CA is seeking a part-time Sales Specialist for the Sonoma store. The role involves answering customer questions about location, price and merchandise, serving customers in person or by phone, and helping customers find products. Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Experience qualifying customer needs and handling customer situations.
• Strong knowledge of technology with ability to learn new systems effectively and efficiently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Answer customers’ questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Service all customers in person or by phone inquiries in an accurate and courteous manner.
• Upgrade product knowledge in-store and across locations.
• Assist customers by guiding to departments and locating products or arranging alternatives.
• Complete customer inquiries, quotes and orders as needed using computer systems.
• Sell and close sales on a project-oriented basis by demonstrating related items.
• Operate equipment as needed (pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, saws).
