Reporting Line

This position reports to the Sales Manager, West Region.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will drive the Regional Instrumentation business by spreading the value message of ABB measurement and control with our End Users. You will consult with End Users to define project goals, design solutions that meet or exceed these goals, and ensure successful implementation of ABB solutions. Maintaining high customer satisfaction and continuously improving segment performance are key objectives.

The work model for this role is remote, with the requirement to be located in Pittsburgh or Allentown. You will contribute to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in the Northeast region.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  1. Creating, planning, and implementing sales strategies for the Oil and Gas market in the Northeast region.
  2. Achieving order intake, margin, and other objectives across the instrumentation product portfolio in Oil and Gas.
  3. Developing relationships with key stakeholders, planning and executing customer surveys, and acting on feedback to ensure high satisfaction.
  4. Developing, implementing, and reviewing sales processes, tools, and training programs.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree in technology preferred, with 6 years of instrumentation sales experience through direct or indirect channels.
  • Excellent time, activity, and priority management skills.
  • Ability to leverage existing industry relationships to generate new opportunities.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Strong competitor knowledge and a passion for winning.
  • Resilience to overcome rejection.
  • Focus on end-user needs, goals, and buying behaviors.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, partners, and end users.
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation, level technology, and markets.
