This role is responsible for growing market share in the Reno, Nevada region by actively engaging prospective clients through lead generation, prospecting, trade show attendance, and client meetings.Specific ResponsibilitiesWork with the Market Intelligence Analyst and local client services staff to identify and capitalize on business opportunities in the marketRepresent ALS Geochemistry at regional trade shows, conferences, and Geological Society meetingsComplete annual quotation renewals, new work bids, and track client workflow alongside client services staffMeet with prospective clients and visit client sites to better understand their needs and provide solutionsBuild and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their project lifecycleIdentify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across ALS service lines to maximize client value and revenueUtilize CRM and other technology tools to track client interactions, opportunities, and market trends, ensuring accurate forecasting and reportingAssist with client tours and ALS client appreciation events at trade shows, alongside client services staffAct as a client advocate within ALS, tracking turnaround times, client priorities, and RUSH work completionProvide a superior client experience by sharing information on analytical methods, quality control, and turnaround times, while proactively resolving questions and concernsMaintain proactive, positive, and responsive communication with clients at all timesMaintain regular client communication schedules, including courtesy calls when new work is received or delays occurServe as the initial point of contact for potential new clients regarding program questions and concernsFollow up on client issues and maintain ongoing communicationContribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing client feedback and operational insights with internal teamsPerform other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager, Business Development, North AmericaRequired Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPost-secondary education in the sciences (geology and/or chemistry preferred) is an assetSome background in science or direct laboratory experience is important to the roleExperience working with analytical methods and quality control, preferably in geochemistry, is a plus but not required1–2 years of experience in client service, project management, or business development is requiredExperience in geoscience is preferredRequired QualificationsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordMust be able to travel periodically throughout the yearPhysical DemandsAbility to sit at a desk and perform general office work, including periodic sedentary responsibilitiesOur Benefits IncludeAn estimated annual salary ranging from $54,000–$59,000 at the time of posting.
