Job summary

ALS is seeking an organized Lab Support Assistant to help in the Organics air analysis lab. You will assist with air sample testing, prepare and repair sample media, and document results accurately while following SOPs. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, basic science coursework, and proficiency with Excel/Word, with strong communication and collaborative skills to work with staff and management.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 8 credit hours of college-level science coursework required.
  • One year of college-level science courses or one year of laboratory experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate professionally with staff and management.
  • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous laboratory experience is highly desirable.
