Job summary

ALS in Stratford, CT, is seeking an ICP/OES/ICP/MS Analyst to join a global scientific testing team. You will perform sample analyses using manual and advanced instrumental techniques in accordance with prescribed methods and SOPs, interpret results, and support peer reviews of data.

You’ll maintain quality control records, meet turnaround times, troubleshoot instruments, and keep a safe, organized work area while collaborating with colleagues to drive data-driven insights for a healthier world.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related science is preferred.
  • ICP-MS/ICP-AES/ICP-OES experience strongly preferred.
  • 1–5 years of analytical laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to use LIMS.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze samples using manual and complex instrumental techniques per SOPs.
  • Analyze, interpret, and review results; peer review data.
  • Maintain QC records and turnaround times.
  • Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and ensure safety.
