Job Description

The Sales Specialist will work closely with key leadership partners at our communities. This role involves temporarily facilitating primary sales activities in communities that do not have a permanent on-site Sales Director and mentoring underperforming Sales Directors to drive revenue growth across North America and increase market penetration. The successful candidate will collaborate with corporate and local teams to develop new relationships, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns.

This is a remote-based position.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with facility-based teams to maximize revenue and meet both short-term and long-term corporate objectives for identified communities.
  • Establish and maintain a community presence by traveling to and working from the community as needed. Interim assignments may vary from several weeks to six months.
  • Develop pricing strategies and sales campaigns with community leadership and corporate teams.
  • Increase occupancy rates and revenue within communities.
  • Implement sales activities proactively to adapt to market conditions.
  • Set and enforce sales targets for lead development, tours, deposits, move-ins, and occupancy.
  • Work with marketing professionals to enhance online presence and utilize electronic media to modernize and grow revenue.
  • Meet with prospective residents and their families to understand their needs and offer suitable senior living solutions, including home visits and on-site meetings.
  • Ensure sales activities meet or exceed community goals, adhering to sales metrics and expectations.
  • Present marketing and sales discussions truthfully, aligning with the community's services and the company’s mission.
  • Review and oversee the implementation of quarterly action plans, competitive analyses, sales reports, and compliance with SSL Signature Programs, communicating improvements to the regional team.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • High school diploma required; college credits or degree preferred or equivalent state experience.
  • Availability to travel 75%-100%, with work periods of 10 days followed by 4 days off.
  • Proficiency with PC-based software applications, including CRM systems like Yardi, and familiarity with presentation, spreadsheet, and email tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively at all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.
  • Capability to recognize, communicate, and resolve problems appropriately.
  • Ability to relate well with residents, families, staff, and professionals, and to teach/train others effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the position.
