Job summary

Metrohm USA, a global leader in analytical instrumentation, is hiring an Ion Chromatography Sales Representative to cover Louisiana, Mississippi, southwest Alabama and Pensacola, FL from the New Orleans area. You will manage your own IC solutions sales territory and drive the full cycle from prospecting to closing.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry or related degree and 3+ years in technical sales to analytical laboratories, with hands-on IC equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical sales to analytical laboratories.
• Hands-on knowledge of IC equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies is a plus.

What You’ll Do

As an Ion Chromatography Sales Representative, you will:

• Develop and manage your own sales territory focused on IC solutions.
• Drive the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing to exceed growth targets.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships in sectors such as pharma, chemicals, polymers, petrochemicals, personal care and food/beverage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to tailor solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Deliver compelling presentations and product demos to both technical and executive audiences.
• Identify ways to streamline the sales process and maximize revenue.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to ensure consistent growth.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably to analytical laboratories.
• Hands-on knowledge or sales experience with IC equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., Miller Heiman) is a plus.
• Industry knowledge in pharma, chemicals, polymers, cosmetics, or related fields.
