We are seeking high-energy, ambitious Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) with direct ed-tech experience to join a high-velocity outreach campaign focused on scaling our B2B enterprise sales pipeline.
In this seat, you will drive top-of-funnel outbound sales velocity-proactively sourcing, qualifying, and engaging high-level decision-makers (VPs, Department Chairs, Program Directors, and C-Suite Executives) across academic institutions and corporate learning organizations. Operating directly within HubSpot, you will execute multi-channel cold outreach cadences (cold calling, targeted email sequences, and LinkedIn engagement) to book high-quality discovery meetings for our Account Executives.
1. High-Velocity Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation
Targeted Decision-Maker Outreach: Execute consistent daily outbound cold calls, personalized email cadences, and LinkedIn social selling touchpoints targeting institutional leaders across higher education, K-12, and corporate learning sectors.
Pipeline Acceleration: Convert cold and warm prospect inquiries into qualified discovery calls, keeping Account Executive calendars filled with high-intent opportunities.
Objection Handling & Value Framing: Articulate complex educational technology value propositions clearly, navigating gatekeepers and addressing executive objections over the phone.
2. HubSpot CRM Pipeline Operations & Data Hygiene
HubSpot Activity Management: Manage daily lead queues, sequence enrollments, task workflows, and prospect communication records directly inside HubSpot.
Account Research & Lead Qualification: Research target accounts, verify institutional buying structures, and qualify leads against defined Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline (BANT) criteria before handing them off.
Data Hygiene: Keep prospect records, contact information, and meeting notes updated with zero administrative backlog.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Campaign Tuning
Sales Alignment: Participate in daily stand-ups with Account Executives and growth leads to review prospect feedback, refine messaging hooks, and align on weekly target sectors.
Campaign Feedback Loop: Track outreach metrics (open rates, reply rates, call-to-meeting conversions), surfacing messaging insights to optimize sequence performance over time.
Ed-Tech Industry Depth: 2-3+ years of proven experience as an SDR/BDR in an education technology (Ed-Tech) startup or fast-growing SaaS environment (experience targeting the US market strongly preferred).
B2B Executive Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English fluency, with the executive presence required to hold natural, persuasive phone and email discussions with VPs, Deans, and Directors.
HubSpot CRM Mastery: Direct hands-on proficiency navigating HubSpot for lead management, sequence automation, call logging, and task scheduling.
Outbound Sales Grit: Proven comfort executing high-volume phone outreach, managing multi-touch email sequences, and driving meeting acquisition metrics.
Working Hours Alignment: Dedicated availability to work full-time hours matching 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM US Eastern Time (ET).
Technical Setup: Quiet, private home office setup with high-speed internet and a noise-canceling USB headset.
Familiarity with sales intelligence tools such as Apollo.io, ZoomInfo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Understanding of university procurement processes, academic calendar cycles, or enterprise learning software deployment models.
Qualified Meetings Booked: Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly targets for completed AE discovery meetings.
Outbound Velocity: Maintaining high daily activity benchmarks across phone calls, custom email touches, and LinkedIn engagements inside HubSpot.
Lead Conversion Rate: High conversion rate from cold outbound contacts to qualified pipeline opportunities.
