Base pay range
$18.00/hr - $22.00/hr
Responsibilities
Responsible for receiving inbound calls from prospective enrollees for individual dental insurance products.
Ask questions to understand customer needs and recommend product options based on those needs and explain plan costs and benefits.
Complete new applications, guide callers through payment options, and refer to other sources of information if needed.
Complete the sale and forward new customer information to the enrollment function.
Act as a Customer Service Representative II (D2C) to respond to existing customer inquiries, research and resolve complex issues regarding eligibility, benefits, provider search, claims, enrollment and billing with emphasis on education, satisfaction, retention, and problem resolution.
Utilize exceptional customer service skills by receiving inbound calls from prospective customers for individual dental insurance products and assist with service-related calls from existing enrollees.
Apply sales skills to recommend product options, guide customers through payment options, and complete the sale.
Receive training to confidently explain components of plan rate information and respond to inquiries with emphasis on sales activities and customer retention.
Proactively respond to electronic and written inquiries from inquiring prospects or leads.
Perform eligibility verifications for specific programs such as third-party payers.
Track and document customer interactions and resolutions in our computer systems and adjust claims as necessary based on findings.
Meet and maintain production standards, counts, and inquiry response targets as appropriate.
Handle complex calls related to enrollment and billing questions that require research and analysis to provide resolution.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration.
Insurance sales license, per state DOI regulations (e.g., Life, Accident, Sickness).
4 years of successful customer service sales experience in a call center or related high-contact setting.
Ability to pass basic computer, telephone skills and math assessments.
Ability to handle constant customer contact and managed workflow distribution.
Strong leadership, organizational/time management, and multi-tasking abilities.
Detail-oriented; flexible and creative.
Ability to learn and retain new processes (e.g., contact center policies, procedures, and guidelines).
Dental assisting certificate, 2 years dental office or dental lab experience, 1 year contact center experience in a dental insurance environment, or 1 year dental claims adjudication experience is a plus but not required.
Certification Requirements
Agent must have an active Health License from any of the 50 States.
