Job summary

RELX is seeking a detail-oriented Sales Order Processing Specialist in Houston with hybrid work arrangements (two days in-office weekly). You will process customer orders, review documentation, validate details against Salesforce, and support fulfillment activities while maintaining high quality and clear communication with internal partners.

Required strong Excel skills, experience with CRM systems, and a customer-first mindset. The role offers benefits and a stable 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in sales order processing, order management, billing, quality control, documentation review, or related field preferred.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or similar CRM system.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process sales orders accurately and efficiently within established service level expectations.
• Manage and prioritize an active order queue to support timely order fulfillment.
• Review incoming order and contract documentation for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
• Validate order details against Salesforce records and ensure alignment before approval and fulfillment.
• Use internal systems to track, update, and maintain order records.
• Support order fulfillment activities, including setting up client profiles and distributing login information as needed.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve order discrepancies or documentation issues.
• Collaborate with sales, internal partners, and cross-functional teams; work independently when required.
• Use Excel and Microsoft Office tools to review order data, organize information, and support reporting needs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external partners.
• Learn new processes and adapt to changing priorities.
