Description:

• A very well respected, vertically integrated Grower/Packer/Shipper is adding to their sales team.
• Looking for experienced sales talent to develop new Onion sales within the West Coast. (Retail preferred)
• Their sales team is very hands-on and takes a team approach to ensure harvesting and operations are all running to meet customer requirements.
• This company has growing operations along the west coast and other growing regions for a 52-week supply.
• Our client has very strong employee satisfaction and retention and are known for great performance incentives.
• This role will require time spent on farming sites during peak harvesting with company-paid housing but can be remote-based the rest of the year.

Required Experience & Qualifications Include:

• Previous successful sales experience in the onion category is preferred but will consider other produce categories.
• Established West Coast customer contacts within retail and chain accounts.
• Strong understanding of fresh produce markets, quality, seasons, supply base, production, and operations.
• Ability to be onsite during their peak spring and summer production in California (Inland Empire and the Central Valley) as well as additional routine visits to other growing regions throughout the year and occasional customer, industry, and business trips as needed. (Approximately 10 – 13 weeks)
• College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study preferred or relevant job history.
• Target base salary is up to $100,000 but they will consider higher, depending on experience.
