As the RFID Transponder Sales Manager for the Identification Technologies (IDT) Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, part of HID Global, you will be responsible for driving the revenue and market growth in the NAM region with a focus on growing the passive RFID business through the equipment consumable market and other industrial verticals. We are looking for a sales expert with in-depth knowledge in the RFID industry and a strong focus in the equipment consumable market. Must have an in-depth experience of sales both direct to OEMs and indirect through system integrators, distributors and reseller partners. In this role, you will work closely with the ISC Sales Leadership and the Sales Support Teams.

Identification Technologies (IDT):
IDT is creating trusted identities for IoT applications through Smart Components and Enabling Services. Our contactless identification and sensing (RFID, NFC, and BLE) components and solution enabling technologies address the dynamic requirements across multiple industries to wirelessly connect, identify, collect and manage data quickly and accurately across virtually any IoT application.

As our Sales Manager (Industrial), you’ll support HID’s success by:

  1. Acquiring new customers and developing existing customer base in the above-mentioned region, to the equipment consumable market and other industrial verticals.
  2. Recognizing and understanding the customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educating customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges.
  3. Driving the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. Collaborating with product management and engineering specialists as required.
  4. Working with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business.
  5. Attending and participating in tradeshows, exhibitions, as well as partner events.
  6. Hunting for new customers and growing revenue and nurturing relationships with existing customers.
  7. Completing forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines.
  8. Building a project pipeline to secure the ISC long-term business growth.
  9. Acting as an industry expert in future market trends, and coordinating with product management on potential new products to meet these trends.

Your Experience and Background include:

  1. Ideally, you have technical training or previous education, but in any case, you have a high affinity for technical products.
  2. An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on the RFID tags and labels would be helpful but not necessary.
  3. You have several years of sales experience and are confident speaking to all level of customers (Engineering, Procurement and C-Suite).
  4. Passionate about sales topics and about selling components.
  5. Cold calling and remote selling are no strangers to you and you deal confidently with resistance.
  6. Strong experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach.

The wage range for this role considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The base salary in the United States is $93,000 to $102,000. The OTE is up to $199,000.

This opportunity may be open to flexible working arrangements.
