CarMax in San Jose, CA is launching a Sales Manager Trainee program designed to prepare you for a future leadership role. Over six to nine months, you will rotate through in-store learning and become proficient in coaching a results‑driven sales team.

You will develop and apply sales strategies, track performance, and mentor associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting the store’s sales goals. Strong communication and leadership are essential to succeed in this program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of management experience with a proven track record of success.
• Experience in a sales-driven environment with strong performance results.
• Ability to execute long- and short-term sales strategies effectively.
• Skilled in developing action plans to drive team performance.
• Strong ability to communicate clearly and influence others.
• Ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to support store operations.

Responsabilités

• Lead and motivate a commissioned sales team to achieve strong results for your location.
• Collaborate with other sales managers to drive overall store performance and foster continuous improvement through coaching and feedback.
• Identify opportunities and develop tailored development plans for individual team members.
• Analyze and track sales performance metrics to meet and exceed targets.
• Identify opportunities and solve challenges to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Champion CarMax values and initiatives to maintain a people-first culture.
• Foster continuous improvement through coaching and feedback.
• Ensure EH&S requirements for the department and location are followed.
