Componere Culinary & Events, based in Berkeley, is seeking a Sales Manager to join our growing team. This on-site role focuses on responding to inbound leads and cultivating relationships with corporate, event and social clients to grow our Bay Area presence and beyond.

• Sales experience in catering, hospitality or events.

• Existing Bay Area event industry relationships or luxury national events connections are a plus.

Sales Manager | Componere Culinary & Events | San Francisco Bay Area

Componere Culinary & Events is looking for a Sales Manager to join our growing team! We have a great company culture and are excited to continue to build our sales team. This is a new position for our company and will be based out of our Berkeley kitchen and office facility.

We’re one of the country's top catering and events companies, producing everything from intimate private dinners to large-scale corporate events and luxury brand activations throughout the Bay Area.

We also work throughout the country for special projects, such as catering the VIP launch party for the inaugural Formula 1 race in Las Vegas, a high profile wedding in Jackson Hole, or a luxury auto launch on the East Coast.

This role will report to our Director of Growth & Partnerships and focus on two key areas:

• Responding to inbound leads and helping develop thoughtful, customized proposals that set us apart
• Building relationships and generating new business with corporate, event industry, and select social clients

We’re looking for someone who is organized, responsive, comfortable working directly with clients, and understands that great sales in the events business is as much about relationships and delivering incredible experiences as it is about closing business.

A passion for, and knowledge of, food is also important. We love what we do and want people that share that love!

Ideal experience

• Sales experience in catering, hospitality, events, luxury hospitality, or Michelin starred restaurant private dining
• Strong written and client communication skills
• Experience developing proposals and managing opportunities from inquiry through close
• Existing Bay Area event industry relationships or experience/connections in luxury national events are a plus
• Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
