Job summary

Arcosa is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a team in Southern California. You will drive strategic account development, manage performance, and coordinate with Operations, Production, and Credit to ensure on-time delivery and revenue targets.

Responsibilities include bidding, market analysis, and building relationships with contractors and customers. Travel within the region is required to support growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in aggregates, construction materials, or building materials industry is required.
  • 2+ years of leadership or sales management experience is required.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve regional sales volume, pricing, and margin objectives.
  • Drive new business development through strategic account acquisition, market expansion, and identification of new products and applications.
  • Execute and refine the Southern California regional sales strategy to align with company objectives and market conditions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and partners through regular visits.
  • Oversee preparation of accurate job estimates and competitive bids for customer projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Production, Logistics, and Credit to align inventory, delivery and customer service.
  • Monitor market trends and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Partner with Production to support new product development and materials offerings.
  • Support and enforce disciplined sales processes, including order review, backlog management, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Mentor and develop sales team members through performance management and training.
  • Contribute to annual budget planning and provide performance analysis.
  • Support collections efforts and collaborate with credit team to manage risk and cash flow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and ethical business practices.
  • Participate in industry organizations as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team of sales managers from different regions to discuss strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience), required
  • 5+ years of experience in aggregates, construction materials, or building materials industry, required
  • 2+ years of leadership or sales management experience, required
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and revenue targets
  • Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships and generating new business opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office, required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory

Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel to customer locations, job sites, plants and industry events
  • Ability to work in both an office environment and at industrial/construction sites
  • Ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods
  • Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25-50 lbs as needed

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range $111,300 to $144,690 USD
